Mezzo-Soprano Eunice Ayodele received her M.M in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University where she studied under Myra Merritt and her B.A. from Aurora University. With over a decade of experience in performance, she is at home in a range of styles, including opera, musical theatre, jazz, rock, R&B, and blues. In addition to performance, Eunice has been teaching voice and piano for several years now. She believes music training should take place in a setting in which the student can learn about them self and about their music ability. In her teaching, Eunice guides her students to discover their unique sound, technique, and theory through a variety of exercises and musical styles. By the end of a student’s time with her, she hopes they not only discover what their unique sound is, but also who they are as a musician and a person.
Most recently, Eunice appeared as Ino in Semele with the BGSU Opera Theater and finished work as a chorus member of the Toledo Opera Company. Her other opera roles include: Kathrine from L'ivrogne corrigé, Carmen from Carmen, and Dido from Dido and Aeneas. Her musical theatre roles include: Motormouth Mabel from Hairspray, Matron Mama Morton from Chicago, and The Witch from Into the Woods.

Jenna Hintz

She still performs regularly while at the same time finding immense fulfillment in passing along the fundamental elements of music, such as technique, theory and pedagogy, to her students. She has been fortunate enough to not only watch her students grow and expand musically, but she also has seen firsthand the astounding effects a musical education can have on every aspect of a child or adult’s life.

Vera Pelin

Vera Pelin is a pianist from Republic of Moldova. She has been playing piano, harpsichord and organ for 19 years and been teaching voice and piano for seven. She has a Bachelor of Music from the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania, in piano performance. She has performed at festivals in Hungary, Romania and her home country, and has played in recitals in performance halls in both Romania and Moldova. She participated in national piano and chamber music competitions. She also has been a member of choirs from a young age: choir "Vocile primaverii" R. Moldova, choir "Rapsodia" R. Moldova, music ensemble of folk music "Dor dorulet" R. Moldova and several church choirs.

Matt Kavanaugh

Matt Kavanaugh is a multi instrumentalist from Naperville, Il who has been playing, studying, and performing music throughout the last 15 years. In 2017, he graduated from Elmhurst College, where he studied guitar with Frank Portolese, Mike Pinto, and Neal Alger, and piano with Frank Caruso and Mark Streder.
Matt is currently working towards a graduate degree from Northern Illinois University, studying under Fareed Haque. Matt can be currently found playing around the Chicagoland area in various jazz, rock, and pop groups. His teaching experience ranges from students ages 5-70, and in all genres. His teaching philosophy focuses on each individual student, their musical interests, music fundamentals, and enjoying your musical journey at your own pace!

Emily Moran

Ms Emily Moran: Voice ($28.50) and Piano ($28.50)


Emily Moran has been a music teacher for many years, with expertise in vocal, piano and general music. She holds a Bachelor's of Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. Previous teaching experience includes: teaching music in Sotogrande, Spain; teaching English in Seoul, South Korea; teaching private piano and voice lessons in Minnesota and Illinois; and teaching K-8 music and choir in Chicago and North Chicago, Illinois. She currently teaches K-5 general music full time in West Chicago. She has been a member of choirs for over 10 years, and has performed in countless musical productions.

Josh Hylland

Mr. Josh Hylland: Piano ($28.50)

Josh Hylland has been a member of NMA faculty for 3 years now teaching piano, guitar, and drums. He is a member of Music Teacher National Association, and of Naperville Chapter ISMTA, and is active in preparing his piano students for IL State Piano Exam. He also created the curriculum for NMA Merit Certificate Exam in drums. In addition, Josh’s students had great success at IMA Competition in the previous years, many of whom brought home trophies, placing among the top 3 competitors in their class.
Josh started his musical journey playing percussion in middle school band, and enrolling in choir shortly thereafter. He has been a dedicated musician since picking up the guitar at age 12, and eventually began taking lessons from local musicians. Prior to legal driving age, Josh had already begun giving lessons to family acquaintances as well as a few friends from school, and in doing so discovered a new type of joy, teaching music to others. Since then he has continued to seek out eager students, giving lessons out of home and thoroughly exploring every musical opportunity he saw, as well as every instrument he could get his hands on. Since graduating high school he studied music theory as well as jazz guitar and piano at Waubonsee Community College before moving on to play bass guitar in a band fronted by former Buddy Guy guitarist, Frank Blinkal for two years. Since then he has played live and in studios with various acts in Chicago and the surrounding areas. Josh continues his search for new musical endeavors, and always strives to help students take the next step.

Christopher Castillo

Mr. Christopher Castillo: Piano ($28.50)

A multi-faceted musician and educator, Christopher Castillo is both a noted performer and composer. He has performed as an orchestral violinist, chamber musician and soloist throughout the greater Chicago area and the Midwest. He has also improvised in rock, blues, and jazz bands. His principal teachers include Edgar Gabriel of String Fusion and Dr. Sarah Gentry. His numerous compositions, including Starvation in the Presence of Grace, Pain, and Philosopher in a Jar have been premiered by local and national artists at both Illinois State University and Elmhurst College. While at Elmhurst College he regularly participated in the World Music Festival, showcasing works of Piazzolla and famed Bollywood film composer A.R. Rahman, among others. In recent years Chris has increasingly turned his attention to pedagogy and currently teaches strings at local area schools. His hobbies include fine woodworking and traveling.
Chris holds a Masters degree from Illinois State University and a Bachelors from Elmhurst College. He is currently preparing for his Suzuki Method teacher certification.

Priscilla Suh

Ms Priscilla Suh: Piano ($28.50)

Priscilla Suh started her music journey with the violin and piano at the age of 5 in Seoul, South Korea. Earlier on, she participated in numerous musical competitions receiving awards for both instruments.
Embarking from this rich experience, Priscilla continued to study violin when she moved to the United States at the age of 10. Priscilla grew up performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and in an orchestral setting. She has participated in ILMEA All-State Orchestra, Illinois Chamber Music Festival, Chicago Music Competition, as a recipient of Pratt Music Foundation, Bloomington-Normal Youth Symphony orchestra and school orchestras.
Between the experiences of teaching both privately and in the classroom settings, Priscilla has vast experience with teaching students ages 5 to adults. For the last 9 years she has coached chamber music and solo music for middle school students at Edison Middle School and Franklin Middle School in Wheaton, Illinois. Also, under Fox Valley El Sistema, Priscilla has been the classroom lead teacher teaching violin to 3rd through 5th graders at Hall Elementary School in Aurora, Illinois. Priscilla aims to teach so that students can continue and enjoy playing music throughout their lives. She firmly believes that the skills that build a good musician can improve the other aspects of students' lives, as well.
Priscilla is finishing bachelor’s in music education degree from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. She has studied with Lisa Nelson and Dr. Vadim Mazo from Illinois Wesleyan University, Drew Lecher from Naperville, Illinois, and Dr. Lee Joiner and Paul Zafer from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music.

Kristofer Spike

Kris has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and also a licentiate diploma in piano performance from Trinity College, London. As well as performing the standard classical repertoire, Kris has diversified into many different styles of music as performer, composer and arranger. His teaching philosophy is based on the belief that all students deserve to be taught in a way that sequential, logical and thorough. After making sure that students have a firm grasp of the basics Kris is able to tailor his approach to match the interests of the student and work towards achieving their goals and musical aspirations. As an active composer Kris places great importance on developing a working knowledge of music theory and being able to incorporate that into practical music performance. Mila Taylor

Mrs. Mila Taylor: Piano ($29.50)

After graduation she was accepted to the Rostov College of Arts where she earned a bachelor degree in Music Education and Piano Performance. Mrs. Taylor learned Piano in the class of professor Valeria Varshavskaya - graduate of the Moscow conservatory, an outstanding pianist and teacher, a colleague and a close friend of Sviatoslav Richter - one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. During the study, Mrs Taylor has been awarded several honors as a performer, participating in the competitions of young piano players at the regional and country level. Upon graduation Mrs.Taylor was admitted to the best rated University in Russia - Lomonosov Moscow University, where she got her master degree in History and Theory of Art. Mrs Taylor was teaching in music schools and privately in Moscow, Brussels, and the Chicago area ( since 2003). Also, she has a performance experience as a soloist, accompanist, and with a symphony orchestra. Russian classical piano school is one of the world famous and requires a lot of the discipline and rigorous workload. "In my teaching methods I follow my famous teachers. I am focused on building strong music reading and technical skills, playing from lead sheets and studying music theory and history as it applies to the pieces studied. I am very proud to continue traditions of the world famous Russian musicians." Mrs. Taylor is teaching all ages and all levels - from the beginning up to the conservatory level. Some students may choose to become professionals, others may just want to learn to play piano for fun. The goal is to help each student to open the world of music and enjoy the rewards that music brings.
